Glyph guide
Glyphs are how the terminal carries the same roles as desktop vectors and mobile touch icons: frames, focus, selection, status and navigation. Desktop and mobile express those roles with CSS geometry and outlined icons; terminals pick a capability tier and preserve meaning at every tier. Glyph roles
Each row below is one role. Graphical surfaces use chamfered panels, vector icons and quiet progress tracks. Terminals map the same role through Legacy Computing corners, Nerd Font UI symbols, stable Unicode, then explicit words when glyphs are unavailable.

Terminal navigation and row selection use ▸ in a reserved one-cell slot, blank when absent. Graphical destinations omit the glyph. Nerd Font is required and guaranteed; there is no > substitute. Violet identifies navigation, while keyboard focus recolors only the control label cyan and preserves its value and selection glyph.
